Vortex is built so your data doesn’t have to leave your machine. Here’s exactly what that means.

• ·Your chats, memory, and metadata are stored in a local SQLite database on your computer. We don’t have a copy.
• ·Files you reference in Vortex are read directly from your disk by the desktop app. They aren’t uploaded to a Vortex server.
• ·Bring-your-own-key traffic goes from your machine to the AI provider you chose. Vortex isn’t in the middle.
• ·Vortex Gateway traffic is proxied through our servers to the provider you selected. We forward your prompts and return the response. We don’t store them.
• ·Account data (only if you sign in for the Gateway) is limited to the email tied to your Google account and your subscription status.
• ·No third-party analytics. No tracking pixels. No background telemetry.
